The Five Commandments of Weight Loss

You don't have to follow some fancy diet plan to lose weight. In fact doing so will likely lead you to failure. The goal is to create a lifestyle for yourself that promotes health and a healthy body composition.ย 

1.)๐„๐š๐ญ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐‘๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐…๐จ๐จ๐- we all have a pretty good idea what "bad" food is. Basically no fast food, minimize processed food, and no added sugar.

2.) ๐„๐š๐ญ ๐…๐ž๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ ๐‚๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง - this is basic science and THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE WEGHT! It really is just that simple.ย 

3.) ๐„๐š๐ญ ๐๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ ๐Œ๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ- don't hide from carbs or fat but keep them in proportion to your Protein. I recommend a 40/30/30 ratio (40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat).

4.) ๐๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐ƒ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ค ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐‚๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ - only 0 calorie soda and energy drinks. Avoid juice and alcohol. Notice I did not say no artificialย sweeteners, and no they don't affect blood sugar.ย 

5.) ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐๐š๐ซ๐ฌ - do not make these a part of your daily plan. You don't need some magic shake or bar to help you lose weight. In fact they tend to make healthy eating harder. Instead use them when you get in a pinch and don't have access to real food!
